2011 added another new name on the trophy. With a field of 23 from 26 qualifying comps it was to be John Platt’s day. John’s opponent in the final was Steven Orrell. Steve had beaten Sylvia Jeffries (15) in round one, Garth Smith (15) in round two and Joe Brown (16) in the semi-final. John had run out the victor over Jack Cooper (17) in round one, Ronnie Blackledge (12) in round two and Colin Knight (7) in the semi-final. John bowled a great game in the final, never letting Steve settle and ran out winner to 12.
